February Summary

Hello from a blustery day in Portland, Oregon!

This month featured two highly informative and relevant events, especially for those that have applied to or are currently attending graduate school. A few of PSU’s grad students stepped up to facilitate a clinical fellowship panel. This well-attended event spotlighted alums who survived grad school and the CF process. They shared experiences and advice during the hour-long program and offered their time to anyone seeking answers beyond the event. What a group of rockstars!

The following event featured guest speaker Tammy of Simple Speechie. She shared her wisdom on navigating the graduate school process as a minority student of color in a predominantly white field. Tammy also shared insight on the importance of self-care and mental well-being during this critical process in students’ lives. We appreciate the time and knowledge she shared with us!

We closed out the month with a love-themed FUNetic Friday event that celebrated friendship, romance, and self-care. Thanks to Dr. Roberts for sharing her expertise and time with us!

Until next time,
